Six whitewashed guest houses and a shared kitchen on an old olive terrace, built with local stone and lime.
The brief
A small hotel that feels like staying with friends, open from April to November and easy to run with a team of eight.
Our approach
We kept the terraces and olive trees and placed each house where the view was best. Lime plaster, local stone and reed shading keep the rooms cool without much air conditioning.
The result
Six suites, a pool carved into the lower terrace and a kitchen table for twenty. Booked out every summer since it opened.
