A neighbourhood restaurant with a tree growing through the middle, warm light and room for sixty.
The brief
A restaurant that feels busy with twenty people and calm with sixty, on a small budget.
Our approach
We built one long oak bench along the wall, hung paper lanterns at different heights and planted an olive tree in the middle of the room.
The result
Sixty seats, an open kitchen and a room that regulars say they can talk in. Built in eleven weeks.
