Twelve years of leading, then coaching.

I became a manager at 27 because I was good at my job. Within a month I was working weekends, rewriting my team’s work at midnight and wondering why nobody told me anything.
Over the next twelve years I led product teams in Istanbul and London, the last four as VP Product at a company that grew from 30 to 400 people. I learned, slowly, that leading is a skill you can practise, not a personality you’re born with.
“The best thing I ever did as a manager was stop being the one with all the answers.”
Why I coach
In 2018 I trained as a coach and started working with first-time managers on the side. It was the most useful thing I did all week. In 2020 I left my job to do it full time.
Today I work with around twenty clients at a time: new managers, founders and small leadership teams, mostly in tech, retail and family businesses. Sessions are in English or Turkish.
Training and credentials
- Professional Certified Coach (PCC), International Coaching Federation
- Co-Active Coaching training, CTI
- BSc Industrial Engineering, Boğaziçi University
- Member of the ICF Türkiye chapter
Outside work
I live in Moda with my partner and a very loud cat, swim in the sea from May to October and bake bread badly. My studio is a ten-minute walk from the Kadıköy ferry.
Three things I believe.
You have the answers
My job is better questions, not advice. You’ll leave sessions with your own plan, not mine.
Small steps, weekly
One change you’ll actually make beats ten you won’t. We keep it practical.
Honest, always
I’ll tell you when I think you’re avoiding something. Kindly, but I will.
Your first conversation is free.
Twenty minutes to talk about what’s hard right now. If I’m not the right coach, I’ll tell you who might be.
