Accessibility statement
We want altoda.co and every website we build to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is also the level referred to by the European Accessibility Act and its related standard, EN 301 549.
What we do on altoda.co
- Text and buttons meet contrast requirements.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with visible focus.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks.
- Animations respect the “reduce motion” setting.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels on smaller screens.
What we do on customer websites
- Our designs start from accessible components: headings, forms with labels, and readable type sizes.
- The panel asks for alt text when you add a photo.
- We check colors against contrast rules when we design around your brand.
- Right-to-left layouts for Arabic are built properly, not mirrored by hand.
You control the text and photos on your site. We’re happy to advise on keeping them accessible.
Known limitations
- Some third-party tools you embed, like booking widgets or maps, may not meet the same standard. We choose accessible options where we can.
- Our sample sites use stock photos with short descriptions and demo forms that don’t send anything.
- This statement is based on our own review. An independent audit is planned.
